Brain Integration

Brain Integration is a powerful therapy for people / children with learning disabilities but there are so many more things that it can help us with! There are so many different facets to it, and so many different ways it can help us better our lives in general. I have begun writing and collecting a series of articles to try to explain the different ways it can help. Just click on a link below!

Stroke of Insight: Jill Bolte Taylor. This is an amazing video on one woman's experience with a stroke in the left side of her brain. The experience itself is not only incredible but I LOVE the way she explains how each side of our brain works and what part of our life each side takes care of. Please make the time to watch this. I guarantee you will love it just as I did.

To Learn or Not to Learn? Why? - Is The Question! An introduction to the Learning Enhancement Acupressure Program (LEAP). Written by Charles Krebs, the originator of Brain Integration.

Are You a Driver or a Passenger?  Have you ever felt removed from a situation?  Present in body but not in mind?  Or maybe like you were just a passenger while your car ran on autopilot?

What is Fight or Flight? The classic example of this is primitive man’s physiological response to seeing a sabre tooth tiger nearby. This imminent danger triggers subconscious reflexes that immediately recruit his resources in an attempt to insure his survival. His body prepares to fight to the death or flee for his life.

Symptoms of Being Stuck in Survival Mode. A very brief list of some of the typical symptoms of being stuck in survival / fight or flight mode.

Hans Selye's General Adaptation Syndrome. Phase 1 - Alarm. Phase 2 - Resistance (the one most of us are stuck in). Stage 3 - Exhaustion.
